Sample Tune Report: see exactly what you get
Made-up sample. A made-up 1972 C10 with a 5.3, with synthetic tune and log data. It isn't anyone's car or file.
This is a complete Tune Report, made the same way as every customer report: same report generator, same checks, same layout. Only the build and the data are made up. It has 4 items to fix first, 8 worth a look and 10 already in line, plus what two driving logs show.
Checked against our own database of real-world LS tunes: 137,000+ tune tables and 8.3 million+ tune values.
The full Tune Report: $19 free while we launch.

How you get it
- You upload. Your .hpt file, up to three logs (VCM Scanner .hpl or .csv) and a short build sheet. Skip anything you don't know; we read what we can from the file and ask you about the rest.
- We export and compare. We export your file's tables and your logs, check that the file matches the car, and compare each setting we can read with similar builds in our database.
- Our lead shop tuner signs off. Our lead shop tuner, with over 20 years of tuning experience, reviews every report and signs off before it's released.
- You get an email, and the report is on your order page, within 1 business day, usually the same day. It reads well on a phone, and it prints as a shorter version.
- Optional: let us do it. Every card has the same two choices: a Start-up File ($79) or Full Custom (from $199). Ask a question first, or pre-order from your order page. Then finish the tune on a dyno.
Why not just give it to an AI chat?
Here's what happens in each case, side by side.
| Pasting it into an AI chat | A Tune Report | |
|---|---|---|
| What you send | An .hpt file is encrypted, so you export tables or take screenshots yourself and choose what to paste in. | Your .hpt file, up to three VCM Scanner logs and a short build sheet. You don't pick tables; we read the file. |
| How the file is read | Whatever you pasted, in whatever form you pasted it. | We export your file and logs the same way and run the same checks on every order. |
| What it's compared against | The chat doesn't have our database. | Our own database of real-world LS tunes we've built or analyzed, matched on engine, cam, fuel, induction and transmission where we have them. |
| Does the file match the car? | Only if you think to ask, and paste the right tables. | Checked first: engine size, fuel, injector data, MAP sensor, MAF or speed density, transmission. |
| When something is missing | Depends on what you pasted and how you asked. | The report says "Not read" or "Confirm" and tells you what to send. We don't fill gaps with a guess. |
| Who checks it | You. | Our lead shop tuner, with over 20 years of tuning experience, reviews and signs off on every report before it's released. |
| What you get back | A conversation you turn into a plan yourself. | A fix-first list in the order to do the work, each item with what it does, how it feels, how to change it yourself and how to check it in a log. |
An AI chat is fine for general questions, like what a table does or how a setting works. When it's your file, your logs and your engine, you want them read in full, compared with real builds like yours, and checked by a tuner before you change anything.
The sample report
Start at the top: what to do next, then the three items to look at first. Each card shows the value in the file next to similar builds, what the setting does, how the car feels when it's off, how to change it yourself, how to check the result, and the "let us do it" options. The log section shows idle against its target, fuel trims by rpm and load, knock retard and the dyno pulls with a wideband.
The report scrolls inside the frame. On a phone it's easier to open it on its own page.
The "let us do it" links in the sample open our pre-order page. In your report they open the questions box on your own order page.
