How do you plumb a Corvette filter/regulator into an LS swap fuel system?

A C5 Corvette-style filter/regulator combines the fuel filter, the pressure regulator and the return in one unit, so only a single feed line has to run up to the engine.

How it's laid out:

  1. Tank / pump → pressure line → filter/regulator. Speedway's in-tank pump install ran the pump module's fittings out to the regulator, with a return and a vent back at the tank.
  2. Regulator return port → back to the tank.
  3. Regulator outlet → single feed line to the fuel rail.

Key numbers and parts:

  • LS base pressure is about 58 psi on most swaps — Speedway's Deluxe AN6 LS swap filter/regulator (part 91012808, a C5 Corvette-style unit) is set at 58 psi, listed at $74.99.
  • Hose matters: LS EFI needs about 58 psi vs 5–7 psi for a carbureted small block; parts-store hose clamps/rubber hose are not adequate at 60 psi. Use AN hardlines, push-on hose/fittings, or ethanol-safe hose (e.g., Earl's Vapor Guard).
  • Power limit: Stock LS fuel filter/regulator assembly tops out around 450 hp; beyond that, larger lines and an external regulator.

Size the pump with the fuel system calculator, and see the fuel guide.
