How does HP Tuners licensing and credit pricing work?

• HP Tuners licensing is credit-based: Gen III single-vehicle license costs 2 credits, Gen IV single-vehicle costs 4 credits, 1-bar SD Enhanced (Gen III) costs 1 credit, and 2/3-bar SD Enhanced (Gen III single vehicle) costs 4 credits; year/model unlimited licenses run 6-20 credits depending on platform. • HP Tuners credits are universal and license the control module (ECM, PCM, or TCM) with costs varying by year/make/model/engine/module. No license is needed for data logging — a license is only consumed when writing a new calibration. The license is tied to the VIN, PCM serial number, and PCM OS, and once licensed the vehicle can be re-flashed indefinitely without paying again. MPVI3 ships with no credits; purchased credits are activated via Help > Resync Interface. (HP Tuners)
