Do I need larger injectors with my cam swap?
Only if the power level exceeds what your stock injectors support. Summit's figures for stock injectors:
| Engine | Stock injectors | Supports about |
|---|---|---|
| LM7 5.3 truck | 22–25 lb | 380 hp |
| LS1 | 28 lb | 390 hp (at 90% duty cycle) |
| LS6 | 30 lb | 430 whp |
A mild cam on a stock-displacement engine usually stays under those numbers. Planning more power than that means larger injectors and recalibration. If you upgrade, Summit recommends fully characterized injectors so your tuner can get idle and drivability right.
