Who's going to tune it?

Every EFI swap ends with this question. Three honest options:

Option 1

Pay a tuner

A local shop or a remote tuner. Speedway notes a proper EFI tune takes hours, and even self-learning systems are best finished by a professional.

Option 2

Learn to tune it yourself

Factory-computer tuning uses specialty software such as HP Tuners and is very detailed. You can buy the tools and learn it yourself.

Option 3

Self-learning standalone

Systems like Holley's Terminator X learn fuel from real-world driving and do their initial setup from a small screen. They still need a proper tune to be fully dialed in.
