Can I get a pre-tuned PCM for my LS swap instead of tuning it myself?
Yes.
- Retailer-programmed 0411/P59 units usually arrive with VATS deleted; rear O2, EGR and purge diagnostics off; fan temperatures set; and the speed limiter raised (Warr Performance, as an example).
- Harness-maker controller kits: PSI's Gen III drive-by-wire kit ships with a base tune that removes VATS, bypasses VVT and disables DOD where applicable.
- Chevrolet Performance Connect & Cruise / E-Rod: the controller, pedal, MAF, O2 sensors and harness come as a matched set. Pre-programmed E67 controller kits are available for 4L60E-family and 4L80E transmissions.
The limit: a base tune matches the combination it was ordered for. PSI says any cam change, performance modification or different component needs a custom tune. See the swap tune checklist.
